Animations made for the needs of visual effects, inserted into live-action shots.
A can hitting a metal pole:
The can appearing in the shot was fully modeled by me, textured and moved by simulation in Maya.
I rendered it using multiple layers (multipass rendering), adding shadows to the footage and the reflection of the can visible on the pole. The rendered layers were composited together and refined in Nuke.
