ABOUT ME
I am a young director and screenwriter of short animated films. I started as a self-taught animator and now I am an independent filmmaker and animation lecturer, a graduate with Distinction of an MA Animation course at the University of South Wales in Cardiff, UK.
ANIMATED FILMS
Since 2018, my short animated films and screenplays have been presented at over 320 festivals in about 37 countries worldwide, winning over 70 awards, including the Royal Television Society Award in 2025 for my stop-motion puppet animation "Nibbling of the Night".
In my animated films, I explore important social issues of the modern world – e.g. hate and excessive competition, ecology, trauma related to a difficult past, loneliness and longing, transience, reconciling passion with work, women's emancipation and independence, domestic violence, and disability.
I also often present Polish native culture, referring to works of the Romantic era, especially that I am an aficionado of Romanticism. I am fascinated by Greek mythology, and references to it appear in my artistic projects too.
Thanks to that, my films are not only featured at festivals but are also used in schools during literature and cultural studies classes.
EDUCATIONAL WORK
I highly enjoy sharing my passion for creating animation with others. I currently work as an animation lecturer at the Step IT Academy, leading "Animator Pro" and "Motion Design" courses as well as at the Cosinus post-secondary school, teaching at the "Film Animation Techniques" course. I am also a film lecturer and an educational workshops leader at the KinoSzkoła (CinemaSchool) foundation.
In addition, for over six years, I have been conducting independent educational presentations and workshops on animation, screenwriting, literature, film and art education for students in high schools, primary schools, and adult participants in other institutions, often referencing the legacy of the Romantic era and Greek mythology.
I would also be happy to visit your school. If you are interested, please contact me.
ARTISTIC WORK
In 2024, I started teaching as a visiting lecturer at the University of South Wales in Cardiff, UK, conducting English classes in the screenwriting module for students of the BA (Hons) English and Creative Writing faculty.
After graduating, I began working as a 3D character animator at the top Warsaw VFX studio "Lumiere de Cinema," specializing in special effects and post-production. I worked as a 3D animator of a dragon character and a pre-visualization artist on the Polish live-action feature film "Grandpa, Let's Go!" which was screened nationwide in Polish cinemas in 2025.
I have had the pleasure of serving as a juror at several national film festivals, including the "Fresh Form Film Festival" in 2024 in Warsaw and the "Polish Youth Film Festival reACTION!" in 2025 in Poznań.
MY EDUCATION HISTORY
I graduated with Distinction (highest possible) from the MA Animation course at the University of South Wales, UK, specializing in Directing and Character Animation.
Previously, I completed my BA (Hons) Computer Animation course at the same university, graduating with First Class Honors (highest possible).
I completed my first year of undergraduate studies at the BA (Hons) Computer Animation Art & Design course at Bournemouth University in Bournemouth, UK.
